Mission of PARP: The Para-Adaptive Rowing Program is a community program of the Greater Columbus Rowing Association which is focused on introducing people with disabilities to the sport of rowing. We are dedicated to ensuring our athletes feel supported and thrive in this sport.
This program is supported by volunteers who understand and have expertise in modifying the process based on each athletes specific needs. There are typically 2 sessions a week for both indoor and outdoor rowing seasons. PARP volunteers will provide para-adaptive rowing equipment, coaching, and adaptive expertise on either the ergs (indoor rowing machine) or in rowing shells (boats) depending on the season; we have both single and double boats for our adaptive athletes.
