There are several ways to help raise funds to support and grow GCRA.
Sponsorships and Benefactors
The Greater Columbus Rowing Association, started in 1984, seeks to establish a challenging yet supportive and positive environment that encourages rowers of all levels to succeed. The vision of the GCRA is to maintain an active, community-based rowing program that offers competitive and recreational programs that are accessible to all residents over 18 years of age in Central Ohio.
Through your generous donations every year, we are able to fund the following:
adaptive rowing program to those with physical handicaps as well as our veterans program
the purchase of boats, oars and other equipment to keep the fleet afloat
an annual fund that helps pay rent and keep the lights on.
GCRA is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Your donation is 100% Tax Deductible. Corporate and/or individual sponsorship of our racing equipment is welcomed. On behalf of the Board of Directors, Officers, Coaches and Rowers, thank you so much for your consideration! We are very grateful for your gift! Kroger Rewards
GCRA has enrolled in the Kroger Community Rewards Program, and we are asking all Kroger shoppers to register your Kroger Plus card with our group. All monies raised through the rewards program will be used to support GCRA’s efforts to offer the highest quality adult rowing experience in Central Ohio.
Follow the steps below to sign up for Kroger Community Rewards:
Be sure to have your Kroger Plus card handy to register your card with GCRA. If you don't have a Kroger Plus card, you can get one at the register or the customer service desk.
Register your Kroger Plus Card online at krogercommunityrewards.com
Click on Sign In/Register
If you are a new online customer, click on SIGN UP TODAY in the ‘New Customer?’ box
Sign up for a Kroger Rewards Account by entering zip code, clicking on favorite store, entering your email address and creating a password, agreeing to the terms and conditions
You will then get a message to check your email inbox and click on the link within the body of the email.
Click on My Account and use your email address and password to proceed to the next step.
Click on Edit Kroger Community Rewards information and input your Kroger Plus card number.
Update or confirm your information.
Enter GCRA’s NPO number (CT604) or GCRA’s name, select “Greater Cols. Rowing Assoc.” from the list, and click on confirm.
To verify you are enrolled correctly, you will see GCRA’s name on the right side of your information page.
Please note - you must swipe your registered Kroger Plus card or use the phone number that is related to your registered Kroger Plus card when shopping for each purchase to count towards GCRA’s fundraising goal.
Amazon Smile
Amazon Smile is a program offered by Amazon that provides funding to non-profit and charitable organizations through purchases made on Amazon.com. Registering for Amazon Smile is simple. For eligible purchases at AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to the customer’s selected charitable organization. Click on the link below and select "Greater Columbus Rowing Association" as the charitable organization you wish to support.
